Black Line is a professional men grooming system for the sleek and modern. Our challenge was to create a brand that is easily understood and appealing to every man. The logo was inspired by Greek illustrations because the concept of a barbershop was first created in Greece. We also reference Greek mythology in the logos icon.
Since Black Line’s goal is to create mass appeal we wanted to prioritize simplicity for the brand development. We accomplished that by using Helvetica typography and a black and white color palette. Black is also the official color of barbers. The brand development was also done using black and white photographs. It all speaks to the simplicity and purity of the design.
