Jungle Bird is a cocktail experience brought forward by award-winning bar owners Leslie Cofresí and Roberto Berdecía. It’s a tiki bar whose concept is anchored in tropical drinks that redefine tiki. A re-appropriation of Polynesian culture, Jungle Bird has a Tiki-Taino identity. For this we researched Taino symbolism, from which we retrieved elements to redraw into a new, original menagerie. The whole symbolism and illustrations favored a new approach to the tropical-Tiki-Taino concept that avoids clichés. These principles were transplanted into the venue’s interior design, with interpretations in wallpaper, patterns and neons. Thus Jungle Bar sets a new aesthetic trend for a leisure bar in a tropical island.
